Mika

Kate

Hmm… I’m not sure what you mean.“With a silver spoon in her mouth”?

Mika

Well, I mean, she comes from a rich family. I heard that her father bought her the car as a birthday present this time.

ケイト：エミリーが新しい車を手に入れたって聞いた？彼女去年買ったばかりなのに。

ミカ：だって、彼女は「銀のスプーンを口にして生まれた」んだもん。

ケイト：んー、あなたの言ってる意味がよくわからないわ。「銀のスプーンを口にして」って？

ミカ：えっと、つまり、彼女はお金持ちの家の生まれってこと。今回は彼女のお父さんが誕生日プレゼントとして新しい車を買ってあげたって聞いたわよ。
