John
Sorry, Mika. I’m not interested in baseball.
David
Me neither, sorry.
Mika
So, do you know anyone who likes baseball?
David
I know Fred and Tom like baseball, though they’re big fans of the Tigers.
Mika
Really? The game is Giants vs Tigers. I’ll ask them!
ミカ：ねえ。明日一緒に野球見に行かない？ジャイアンツ戦のチケットが2枚余ってるんだ。

ジョン：ごめん、ミカ。僕は野球に興味がないんだ。

デービッド：僕もなんだ。ごめん。

ミカ：じゃあ、誰か野球好きな人知らない？

デービッド：フレッドとトムは野球好きだって知ってるよ。ただし、二人とも大のタイガースファンだけどね。

ミカ：本当？試合はジャイアンツ対タイガース戦なんだ。二人に聞いてみるよ！

RESPONSE TO A NEGATIVE STATEMENT
否定文に対して
I’m not interested in baseball
—Me neither.
I can’t buy such an expensive bag.
—Neither can I.
私は野球に興味がありません。
－私もです。

私はこんな高価な鞄買えません。
－私もです。
RESPONSE TO A POSITIVE STATEMENT
肯定文に対して
I like shopping very much.
—Me, too!
I love you.
– I love you, too.
CAREFUL!: If you answer “Me, too” in this situation, it means “I love myself [me], too.
私は買い物が大好きです。
－私もです！

あなたを愛しています。
－私もです。
注意：I love you に対してMe, tooと答えると、「私も私を愛しています」という意味になってしまうので気を付けましょう。
