I’m thinking about studying in Tokyo. Would you say that Tokyo is more expensive than New York?
John
Yes, I would. The rent is about the same but food and other things are much more expensive.
Paul
Would you say that the weather is warmer there in the winter than in New York?
John
You hardly see any snow in Tokyo and the temperature is quite mild. But the summers are really humid.
ポール：東京で勉強しようかと思ってるんだ。東京はニューヨークより物価が高いかな？

ジョン：うん。家賃は大体おなじくらいだけど、食べ物や他の物はずっと高いよ。

ポール：冬の気候はニューヨークよりも暖かいかな？

ジョン：東京ではほとんど雪をみることはないし、気温もかなり穏やかだよ。ただ夏は本当にじめじめするよ。
