How was your summer vacation, Rie?
Rie
I had a fantastic time in Fiji. Fiji was a British colony until 1970 and people there speak English so that helped me a lot.
Michael
How nice! How’s the weather and local food?
Rie
The weather was wonderful and Fijian food was so delicious.
Michael
I would love to go there on my next vacation.
Rie
I have a tip for you. There are lots of couples, so you should go with your partner.
マイケル：
リエ、夏休みはどうだった？

リエ：
フィジーでとても素敵な時を過ごしたわ。フィジーは1970年までイギリスの植民地だったから、皆英語が話せてとても助かったわ。

マイケル：
よかったね！天気とか、地元の料理とかはどうだった？

リエ：
天気は最高だし、フィジー料理もすごくおいしかったわ。

マイケル：
僕も次の休暇に行きたいな！

リエ：
ひとつアドバイスしておくわね。カップルばかりだから、パートナーと行くべきよ。

It was fabulous. Everybody was so friendly.
