Hi Meg. What’s up? You look worried.
Meg
Yeah. John is having a meeting today with his bosses about his next position.
Takao
Is he gonna lose his job?
Meg
No, but they are offering him two positions and one is in Osaka.
Takao
What if he got transferred to Osaka? You will have to quit your job.
Meg
That is what I am worried about.
タカオ:
やあ、メグ。どうしたの？心配そうだね。

メグ:
ええ。今日、ジョンが次のポジションについて上司と打ち合わせしてるの。

タカオ:
仕事をなくしそうなの？

メグ:
いいえ。でも、２つのポジションをジョンに提示していて、ひとつは大阪なのよ。

タカオ:
もし彼が大阪に転勤になったらどうなるだろう？君は仕事を辞めなきゃならないね。

メグ:
それを心配しているの。

Activity : Try to make short dialogues with your tutor for the following situations.

1. You are going to the beach tomorrow. (rains)
A: Hey, do you wanna go to the beach tomorrow?
B: What if it rains?
A: Then we can go see a movie instead.
2. You want to go to Okinawa next month. (can’t get time off)
3. Your cousin is getting married in Osaka. (don’t attend)
4. It is your father’s birthday tomorrow. (forget to buy present)
5. Your rent is due tomorrow. (don’t pay)
6. You are going to another country for vacation. (lose passport)
