I was out doing my shopping at a nearby shopping mall when I came across a 3-5 year-old child and her mother. Suddenly the child saw something she liked and asked her mother if she could have it. The mother told her no so the child started to make a huge fuss, screaming and crying. Finally, the mother had enough and told her child that they were going home and that she would be punished for acting out. I cannot believe how spoiled children have become.
When a young child is inconsiderate, demanding, self-centered and defiant, the parents may fear their child is spoiled. Parents need to continually train their child at a young age that they can’t have everything and that they need to show respect to others. It is not an easy task for parents to do such a thing, but people will commend them when they do their task well, and it will show from the attitude of their children.
If the parents do not train their child at home then the child will end up having a lot of problems at school and in their adult life. Sometimes it might seem easier for the parents if they just give in to their child. Some parents think that their child won’t feel loved if they aren’t given something but that simply isn’t true.
