You can breathe more freely in the country with fresh air all around you. When I lived in an apartment in the city, I had to use air conditioning throughout the summer because I could not open my windows due to the smog outside. There are very few green plants, trees, even grass is hard to find in the city. The plants you do find are mostly artificial.
Then I got transferred to the countryside. I enjoyed the lifestyle in a small town. Nobody is rushing about, there are no traffic jams, no lengthy commutes by subway or car, and no tall buildings to block the daylight. Everyone is so friendly here. I can even plant vegetables in the backyard without asking for a permit from the municipal hall. What more can I ask for?
Living in the countryside makes me miss shopping, watching movies, and strolling with my office mates while drinking a soda and eating ice cream. In spite of all the things I miss about the city, I still want to keep my life in the countryside. My life now is laid-back and relaxing, and I get to appreciate nature.
