Terrorism

Many countries in the world have experienced terrorism in the past decade and it seems to be spreading around the globe to other areas. In ages past, when one group or sect of people wanted to take over a country or seize power in an area they would form an army and meet on a battlefield. There would be a battle or series of battles and the winner would then take over.

Today a group will form based on a particular belief and then train others to infiltrate into the mainstream of a population. When least expected they will set off a bomb or start killing in some other manner innocent groups of people just to create fear or terror. This is a very cowardly act where most often many innocent people including women and children are being killed or maimed for life.

In addition to committing acts of terrorism where people or buildings are destroyed, terrorists also send out messages that possible attacks are imminent. This in itself will create an atmosphere of fear among the people of the area in question. The world would be far much better if all of the people could just sit down and talk through their problems.
