Making And Reaching Goals

When I was a child, I loved making my own movies. I used my father’s old film camera. It was a very basic camera but making films with my friends was so much fun. I think I fell in love with film when I was 8 years old. For my thirteenth birthday my parents bought me a video camera. This was the best present I had ever received and I started making films straight away. My ambition in life was to be a film director.

After finishing high school, I decided to study film making at university. I had a great time and met many talented people. We made some great films together and after graduating I started looking for a job in the film industry. My first job was as a runner. This means that I was a kind of general assistant. My job was to make the tea, take messages, and do any small jobs.

Finally, after many years working in the film industry I got a job as an assistant director. My dream job was to become a director and I knew that I wasn’t that far off. Next year I will direct my first film, so my advice to you is to follow your dreams.
