Often the size of your home depends on the country that you live in and your budget of course. Living in a small place can be an interesting experience with many advantages and disadvantages. If you want to live in the city center, then you might have to live in a small apartment.
For a single person, a small apartment might be very convenient. There is less space to clean so it’s easy to maintain. The bills are cheaper and so is the rent. Some apartments provide everything you need, such as a washing machine, stove, microwave and storage. But if you have a partner then there is less space, and if you have a child it might be impossible to live in a small place.
Another disadvantage of a small apartment is that it’s difficult to invite friends to your home as the walls could be thin and you must respect your neighbors with regard to noise. You can’t play loud music or turn up the volume on your TV. Also, you can’t have dinner parties. But a small place can be comfortable and cozy. In England, we have a saying, “A man’s home is his castle.” or a woman’s home of course.
