During university I had an exchange year in Barcelona and it was one of the best years of my life. Barcelona is sometimes called the secret capital of Spain. It is a wonderful and beautiful city on the east coast of Spain. It’s famous for the many buildings designed by the artist Gaudi. At the heart of the city is the old town with many narrow streets and old buildings. The old town is surrounded by the new part of the city.

Barcelona is a very cosmopolitan city full of all kinds of people from around Europe and the world. The climate is wonderful, hot in the summer and cool in the winter. There is a large beach and there are also many beautiful coastal towns close to Barcelona. In Spain, sea food is very popular and you can buy lots of wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables at a very cheap price. The city is full of art, culture, street performers and an exciting night life.

One day I hope to live in Barcelona again. It is a unique city with a special atmosphere and it is a beautiful and exciting place to live. Why don’t you see for yourself and visit this amazing city.
