Well, the phone is covered by Apple for 1 year. If anything goes wrong with the phone, just bring it in and we will replace it. After 1 year, however, it will not be covered. If get the extended warranty, you will be covered for an extra 2 years. You can also get a discount on getting the glass repaired if you break it.
