Inside Tokyo DisneySea's New Fantasy Springs, Opening in June

Fantasy Springs, set to open on June 6, is the newest addition to Tokyo DisneySea. This expansive realm covers 140,000 square meters and draws inspiration from beloved Disney classics such as Frozen, Peter Pan, and Tangled. It marks the largest expansion in Tokyo DisneySea's history. It features impressive replicas of iconic elements like Arendelle Castle, Elsa's ice palace, Rapunzel's tower, and a pirate ship from Peter Pan. The park is divided into three thematic zones, each offering a unique adventure into the world of Disney.

Visitors can opt for the 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic, priced between ¥22,900 and ¥25,900, which allows unlimited access to all attractions. This pass is particularly aimed at minimizing wait times, ensuring guests can enjoy the park's offerings multiple times. However, it is exclusively available to guests staying at the new Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, which features two types of buildings: the Grand Chateau and the Fantasy Chateau. The former starts at ¥300,000, while the latter begins at ¥66,000. All rooms at the hotel are already fully booked until September.

Visitors not staying at the hotel must obtain free Standby Passes for each attraction and purchase Disney Premier Access to enter Fantasy Springs, in addition to the 1-Day Passport for Tokyo DisneySea, priced between ¥7,900 and ¥10,900 for adults.

東京ディズニーシー（ＴＤＳ、千葉県浦安市）の新エリア「ファンタジースプリングス」が５月７日、メディアに公開された。映画「アナと雪の女王」や「ピーター・パン」、「塔の上のラプンツェル」をテーマとし、総投資額は約３２００億円でＴＤＳ開園以来最大の拡張。物語に登場する城や海賊船など映画そのままの施設の数々は高い没入感が得られ、人気を集めそうだ。開業日は６月６日。

スタッフに手を振られながらゲートを抜けていくと、正面に広がる巨大な〝岩壁〟をくりぬいたディズニープリンセスらの彫刻が来場者をお出迎え。ガラスの靴を落としたシンデレラや王子様と向かい合う眠りの森の美女に加え、白雪姫の輪郭の形にくりぬいた池は遊び心満点だ。

アナと雪の女王をテーマにした「フローズンキングダム」は、アレンデール城や主人公のアナが走り抜けた城門の桟橋などが、高い精度で再現されている。遠目にはノースマウンテンとエルサの氷の宮殿が見える。

新エリア全体の総開発面積は、東京ドーム約３個分の１４万平方メートル。主に３つのディズニー映画を題材にしたエリアと１つのホテルで構成され、計４つのアトラクションが新設された。

ピーターパンの「ネバーランド」では海賊船を散策でき、塔の上のラプンツェルを舞台とした「ラプンツェルの森」では、主人公が暮らしていた物語の象徴である塔が映画の世界に来場者を引き込む。

新エリアに入場するにはＴＤＳのチケット以外に、無料の「スタンバイパス」、あるいはアトラクション利用などの時間指定ができる有料の「ディズニー・プレミアアクセス」が必要だ。東京ディズニーリゾート（ＴＤＲ）・アプリから取得できる。

６月６日に開業する東京ディズニーシー（ＴＤＳ、千葉県浦安市）の新エリア「ファンタジースプリングス」を巡り、すべてのアトラクションを短い待ち時間で楽しむには、特別な１日券「ファンタジースプリングス・マジック」が必要になる。混雑に応じて価格が変わる変動制で、大人（１８歳以上）料金は２万２９００～２万５９００円と割高だ。しかも、購入できるのは同エリア内に開業する新ホテルの宿泊者のみ。１泊の最低料金６万６０００円を踏まえると、合計約９万円が必要になる計算だ。

ファンタジースプリングス・マジックは、開園中は時間の指定に関係なくいつでも新エリアに入場することが可能で、４つのアトラクションすべてを何度でも短い待ち時間で楽しめる特別券だ。通常、新エリアに入るには、ＴＤＳに入場するための１日券（大人１人７９００～１万９００円）を購入したうえで、アトラクションごとに発券する無料入場券「ディズニー・スタンバイパス」や有料の優先入場券「ディズニー・プレミアアクセス」が必要となる。特別券を利用すれば、こうしたわずらわしさがなく、快適にアトラクションが楽しむことができる。

ただし、この特別券を購入するには、新エリア開業に合わせてオープンする「東京ディズニーシー・ファンタジースプリングスホテル」に宿泊しなければならない。１泊の宿泊料金は予約状況に応じた変動制だが、最低料金は５月７日時点で豪華なラグジュアリータイプの「グランドシャトー」（５６室）が３０万円から。動植物などの装飾が施されたデラックスタイプの「ファンタジーシャトー」（４１９室）が６万６０００円からで、東京都内の一般的なホテルに比べて高い価格設定となっている。

同ホテルは４カ月先まで宿泊予約できるが、「すでに４カ月先の９月７日まで全室が予約で埋まっている」（運営するミリアルリゾートホテルズ）という。
