Hidden Wonders | Brilliant Fall Foliage at Osaka's Daisen Park

The fall foliage in the Japanese garden at Osaka's Daisen Park have turned brilliant shades of yellow and red. Designed in the Tsukiyama Rinsen Kaiyu style, a traditional strolling garden that blends Japanese and Chinese influences, the garden is at its most beautiful in autumn.

Japanese maple, Chinese maple, enkianthus, and ginkgo trees take center stage. With every plant carefully maintained, a walk around the garden offers stunning autumn scenery from many angles. Recommended viewpoints include the pond-side view from the Kyukeisha (rest pavilion) and the panoramic overlook from Kasatei.

On designated evenings, the garden is illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere completely different from the daytime. Ingetsu Bridge and Eiha Bridge, both spanning the pond, look especially striking when lit.

The garden is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Mondays. Admission is ¥200 for adults and ¥100 for elementary and junior high school students. Special nighttime openings will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on November 28–30 and December 5–7 (additional ¥200 required).

大阪・堺市の大仙公園日本庭園では、紅葉が黄や赤に色づく。日本と中国の文化を融合させた「築山林泉廻遊（つきやまりんせんかいゆう）式庭園」。秋が最も美しいとされ、にぎわいを見せている。

主役はイロハモミジ、トウカエデ、ドウダンツツジ、イチョウなど。

草木は隅々まで手入れが行き届き、園内を一周するだけでさまざまな角度から秋の景色を楽しむことができる。同園のオススメは、「休憩舎（きゅうけいしゃ）」からの池越しの景観と、園内が一望できる「傘亭」からの眺めだ。

夜間にはライトアップされ、昼間とは一変して幻想的な雰囲気が辺りを包む。池に架かる印月橋（いんげつきょう）や映波橋（えいはきょう）は特に趣深い。見頃は12月初旬まで。

営業時間は午前9時～午後5時。月曜休園。大人200円、小・中学生100円。12月7日まで週末に実施される夜間特別開園は午後5時～9時（別途200円が必要）。問い合わせは同園（072-247-3670）。
